Welcome, Dandelion!

Fresh off the lot- Dandelion is a 7’x14′ v-nose cargo trailer, the blank slate for our DIY cargo trailer to camper conversion!

I always say the best decisions in life are from the gut and out of left field. That’s how this project started- the whim of an idea that sparked our imaginations and appealed to our sense of adventure. Back in May, we were daydreaming about what it might be like to have a trailer for road tripping, camping, and (our favorite) fun-venturing around the country when we stumbled upon a trend of converting a cargo trailer into a camper.

I know what you’re thinking- who on earth puts all the effort into that sort of thing when you can just get a camper premade?

Short answer- we do.

While we do tend to be reasonably logical folk, this decision was so obviously going to happen that logic just didn’t play into it. If you believe in fate, signs from the universe, or messages from a deity, just assume it was one of those things. And so, we ordered a 7’x14′ cargo trailer, impatiently waited 6 months for it to arrive, pondered how to transform the blank slate into our ideal camping space, and are now proudly introducing you all to…

Dandelion!

Follow along as we transform Dandelion into our ideal camper, focusing our efforts to be re-use, handmade, and DIY whenever we can. We’ll post pictures, progress reports, and details on the what, how, and why behind it all.

“Why Dandelion?”, you say? No worries, we’ll sate that curiosity in the next post!
